The one in the link is the AUC sensor which monitors outside air quality for the auto recirculation function.. the interior sensor is located in the IHKA control panel right by the fan speed buttons. Located in the module behind the little screen.. hope this helps. edit: and as for no heat, I've never seen one of these sensors cause said problems.
If the fan does run, then the water pump is most likely the culprit. Rule #1 with BMWs: The very second you see any evidence of an overheat warning, you pull off the side of the road, shut off the engine, and call a flatbed. No delays. No exceptions, because if you think maintaining a BMW is expensive, get a quote for an engine rebuild.Conversely, twisting the knob all the way to the heater’s highest “4” setting was tantamount to opening the doors to 765’s firebox. That quick little bit of troubleshooting told us that the heater core was good and that the blower motor had power—the fan just wouldn’t work at the “2” fan speed.
