This is triggered when the desired and actual turbo vane positions don’t match during the learn procedure. The P003A code can be caused by a variable geometry turbo (VGT) turbocharger that’s out of calibration, vane position sensor failure, turbocharger failure, or turbocharger vane control actuator solenoid failure.
